Visual comfort

Conical De-glaring Prism (CDP) technology optimises the light on the working plane with its exceptional transmittance, whilst tightly controlling glare. Glare above 65 degrees is below the 1500 cd/m2 maximum figure stipulated in LG7 for office space where the end use of the office space is unknown.
The use of CDP material in place of a central louvre also reduces dust ingress into the fitting and provides a wipe clean surface. The CDP panel does not need to be removed for re-lamping and it will not show fingerprints left from installation or maintenance.
Ceiling and wall illuminance

The unique satin prismatic wings of Officelyte, coupled with the optimised reflector design ensure optimum distribution of light across the ceiling and walls as well as onto the working plane. In a typical furnished office space, using normal luminaire spacing's the illuminance of the ceiling will be at least 30% of that on the working plane, and the illuminance of the wall at least 50%.
This is achieved with the minimum protrusion into the lit space - the tips of the wings protrude just 50mm from the ceiling at their deepest point producing a discrete modern look and the optical performance provides a visually stimulating working environment.
Efficiency

The efficient optical design of Officelyte results in an LOR of 68% (60% for the 55w TC-L version). This ensures that the luminaire attains a Luminaire Efficiency Factor (LEF) in excess of 45 Lumens per circuit watt, without applying a control factor, the stipulated requirement of UK Building Regulations Part L.
LEF = LOR x Total Lamp Lumens / Luminaire Circuit Watts
55w TC-L version:
LEF = 0.60 x 4800 / 61
= 47
2x24w T5 version:
LEF = 0.68 x 3500 / 52
= 46
Officelyte emergency luminaires incorporate cadmium free environmentally friendly Nickel Metal Hydride batteries.
